Gartner is well known as a pillar in information technology analysis; but what happens when it organizes an event that brings together its own analysts and external industry experts?
It all happened at the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo in Barcelona, where, from November 4 to 7, analysts, IT leaders, and CIOs gathered.
Over these four days, industry experts hosted numerous meetings, debates, conferences, and workshops to explore the latest technology trends, address leadership challenges, and develop innovative business strategies.
This year’s main themes revolved around generative AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation—topics that were also at the center of the one-to-one meetings between Mauro Grandotto, Founder and President of Different Factory, and Ambrogio Massarotto, Executive Business Manager of Different Factory, with Gartner analysts.
After an initial session dedicated to presenting and analyzing the current state of the art, participants had the opportunity to take part in one-to-one meetings.

One-to-One Meeting: An Opportunity to Explore the Most Current Topics
The session dedicated to individual meetings represented a valuable moment to explore in detail the most relevant and current topics, tailoring them to the specific needs of each business. A format that encouraged focused and productive discussions, allowing for the identification of concrete solutions and personalized development perspectives.
Ambrogio had the opportunity to engage with two experts from Gartner, exploring the frontiers of artificial intelligence applied to different sectors. With Haritha Khandabattu, an expert in Generative AI and Artificial Intelligence, he delved into the application of AI in software development, from the automatic generation of code and documentation to error correction and automated testing.
Meanwhile, with Benjamin Seesel, he discussed AI trends in the banking sector, exploring how artificial intelligence can improve not only operational efficiency, data analysis, and fraud detection, but also customer interaction and the personalization of the services offered.

For Mauro, it was also a series of days filled with meetings with two prominent figures from Gartner: Nick Jones and Deepti Gopal.
During the meeting with Nick Jones, an expert in forecasting technological and business trends, key insights emerged for understanding future trends. The discussion focused on the growing adoption of artificial intelligence and automation in business processes, as well as highly relevant topics such as Cloud Computing and Hybrid Cloud, solutions that provide greater flexibility and scalability for businesses.

In the discussion with Deepti Gopal, an expert in cybersecurity trends, the main trends in the sector were analyzed, including the use of AI and automation for threat detection, the protection of sensitive data, and cloud security. It was emphasized that the future of digital security relies on resilience, identity management, and advanced technologies to address emerging threats.

The Gartner Symposium once again proves to be an unmissable event for IT leaders, offering a unique platform to explore trends, strategies, and innovations that will shape the digital future of businesses.
